Join our Nigiri Sushi-making Workshop and learn the art of authentic “Edomae Sushi” from a professional chef !
Make your own nigiri and enjoy it right away!
Led by a chef from Sushi Kawa, known for its unique traveling sushi style, this hands-on experience lets your fingers discover the rhythm and technique of sushi-making.
No need to be formal—come enjoy a fun and memorable time, and get closer to sushi than ever before!

What is “Edomae sushi” ?
Edomae sushi originally referred to sushi made with fish caught in Edo-mae—Tokyo(Edo) Bay.
In the Edo period, before refrigerators existed, fish were preserved and enhanced using techniques such as curing with vinegar or salt, simmering, and marinating in sauces.
These preparations, called “shigoto”, were used to bring out the best flavor.
It is also said to have started as a quick meal for busy Edo townspeople, with rice and toppings hand-pressed and served at street stalls.
Sushi Kawa’s Edomae sushi features carefully prepared ingredients with proper “shigoto”.

Please bring your favorite drinks.
Alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic drinks are both welcome—anything you like is fine.
※The rice is seasoned with akazu (red vinegar made from sake lees), which pairs especially well with sake.
On the day, we will be offering sake with embassy labels for sale, so if you’d like, please purchase and enjoy it.

Cancellations made between two weeks prior to the event date and the day of the event are non-refundable.

18 participants
※The event may be canceled if the minimum number of 10 participants is not reached. In that case, you will be notified of the cancellation and receive a refund.
