What’ Kintsugi ?
It’s traditional Japanese method of repairing cracked or chipped vessels with natural lacquer “urushi”.

Learn authentic “Kintsugi”
Although simplified, chemical-based Kintsugi methods are available today, we are committed to traditional Kintsugi using real urushi lacquer, a natural material used since ancient times.
By learning the techniques of kintsugi, you’ll be able to repair your own broken ceramic tableware at home.

Kintsugi Kit
Rental tools are available during the class.
However, we highly recommend purchasing the Kintsugi Kit so you can continue practicing kintsugi at home after completing the course.

Instructor: Mana Matsumoto
She studied urushi art at university, learning traditional techniques such as kanshitsu and maki-e.
Her urushi works have been recognized at juried craft exhibitions.
She is active as an urushi artist and also teaches kintsugi.
